Ellen Rawlinson, FRCA, is Specialist Registrar in Anaesthesia on the north west rotation. She qualified from St John’s College and Addenbooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, and trained initially in medicine at St Thomas’ Hospital, London

Alan Minchom, FRCA, is Consultant Anaesthetist at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary. He qualified from the Victoria University of Manchester in 1992 and is the preoperative assessment lead anaesthetist at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary
